Girona Camp 2027
July 6, 2026Athlete Profile| Kim Carlin
Meet another one of our incredible HEAL athletes! 👏
After finding triathlon during a difficult chapter in life, she discovered something much bigger than racing, a community, a challenge, and a way to take care of herself.
8 years later, she’s still proving that the biggest breakthroughs don’t come from perfect training. They come from showing up, day after day!
One of the biggest lessons she’s learned is that consistency beats perfection. Day after day, week after week, those small actions add up to results that once seemed impossible.
Kim’s journey hasn’t always been easy. Following the loss of her dad in 2025, simply getting out the door each day became an act of resilience. Crossing the finish line at Ironman Canada-Ottawa that year wasn’t just another race, it was a tribute to him, surrounded by the people who helped carry her through.
Whats next? This year her focus shifts to the marathon, with the NYC Marathon on the calendar before taking on Challenge Roth in 2027, where Kim aiming to take an hour off her Iron-distance personal best by continuing to build an even stronger run.
Outside of training, she’s learned that comparison steals the joy from progress. There will always be someone faster or stronger, but the only comparison that truly matters is who you were yesterday.
Fun Fact?
You’ll usually find her happiest on an outdoor bike ride, but when she’s not training, Kim’s likely planning her next adventure. She’s travelled to more than 75 countries across all 7 continents, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, trekked to Everest Base Camp, and even camped in Antarctica! 🌍
Thanks for sharing your journey with us Kim and inspiring our community.
We can’t wait to cheer you on in NYC and Roth! đź’™
