I started working with famed nutritionist Tara Postnikoff last year and the tools and insight she provided were invaluable. When I first shared my sample diet with Tara, I thought my food knowledge and nutritional choices were solid. How wrong I was! Who knew orange juice and toast with jam were not the ideal pre-work (not pre-exercise) foods? Tara did. Who knew avocado is a perfect food for smoothies, salads and life in general? Tara did, again.
Thanks to Tara, I discovered my supposedly solid nutritional choices were making my goals – getting lean without sacrificing power or strength – that much more difficult to achieve. With Tara’s encouragement and guidance, I’ve transformed my diet and I’m leaner than I’ve ever been. I feel better, have more energy and most importantly the changes I’ve made have endured.
