Eat from frozen.Substitute your own nuts and seeds to suit your preferences.
I was searched on the HEAL site for a healthy, tasty alternative to my regular homemade energy bars and came across this recipe. I tried it today and was thrilled with how it turned out! I had to make a few substitutions to suit what I had on hand (figs instead of apricots and cocoa powder instead of cacao nibs) and they still turned out great — although I’m sure it will be even better next time with the nibs. Thanks for sharing. I’d love to see more snack recipes like this in the future!
Thanks Lianne for trying the recipe, I’m glad you like it. Substitutions are always awesome as you get to create something unique! There are a few more snack bar recipes on the site, but I’ll see about formulating some more! Thanks and happy snacking!
